I dropped my phone in water with minor water damage and fixed it by wrapping it up with a black t-shirt and letting it sit in the sun for 30 minutes through a window. After that I just unwrapped it, I put the battery back in as well as the sim-card and whala, it worked again. I can’t guarantee that this will work 100%, but i’m sure it will fix a lot of phones that have been water damaged the fastest way possible. 1st) Clean the phone with a towel/shirt from any visable water as well as the battery, and sim card. 2nd) Take everything out, battery, sim card, and face plate (if possible) 3rd) Wrap it in a clean towel/shirt. 4th) Let it sit in the sun for 30 minutes with the battery. (through a window if you want to be like me) 5) Check on it after 30 minutes, if it was a hot day and the shirt/towel is very hot, then take it away to a cooler area. If it is just mediocre hot, then leave it there for another 5 minutes then take it away to a cooler area. 6) Put everything back together in the phone. 7) Turn it on. 
If it works, leave a comment, any other details on what you did differently. IF it didn’t try again. I hope this helps alot of people in some way that are worried that their phone have to be sent back to repair or need a quick fix. hey i have the same exact phone and i just dropped it in water, put it in a bag or dry rice and mix it around. then leave it in there for 2 days and it will work

ironically after watching this, my phne got wet. :/ so i went outside to my car and then placed the fully opened LG Chocolate 2 out in the baking sun. five min later, it would turn on with a car charger (not battery) but the keypad was mesed up. this has happened before; im going to let it sit lol. when im done ill tell the results and maby even make a video
